Bruening scores podium outing with MLRA in Corn State Nationals at Davenport
Staying close to home after the World of Outlaw Case Late Model Series events in the South were rained out, Tyler Bruening joined a stacked 36-car field at Davenport (Iowa) Speedway for the second night of the Corn State Nationals.
Competing in only the second night of action, Bruening set quick time overall before taking the checkered flag in his heat race. Rolling off from the pole in the $10,000-to-win main event, Tyler led the first 23 circuits before Garrett Alberson was able to sneak past him. Slipping back one more spot before the checkers flew, Bruening settled a third-place finish while Brandon Sheppard took runner-up.
